Minister of state for home Pradipsinh Jadeja said on Sunday. Chief minister Vijay Rupani has sanctioned the proposal as said by minister.

We would like to inform you that Minister of state for home Pradipsinh Jadeja was addressing police personnel in Vadodara after reviewing the passing-out parade of the Lokrakshak Dal jawans at the Police Training School.
“About 50,000 police personnel were recruited in the state over the past 10 years,” Jadeja said. “But Gujarat Police require more personnel.”: Pradipsinh Jadeja
