UPSC Civil Services Examination 2017 Final Result declared

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published  Final Result of Civil Services Examination 2017, Check below for more details.

The main examination was held on 28 October 2017. The examination was conducted to recruit 980 posts of Indian nationals in Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services (Group A and Group B) and various other government departments. Out of 980 posts, 54 posts are reserved for reserved categories. The IAS PRE (CSAT) Exam was held on 18 June 2017.

The selection of the candidates is to be made on the basis of UPSC Civil Services IAS Preliminary Exam, UPSC Civil Services IAS Main Exam and Interview conducted by the commission.

Based on the results of the written part of Civil Services Examination, 2017 held by the Union Public Service Commission in October-November, 2017 and the interviews for Personality Test held in February-April, 2018, following is the list, in order of merit, of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to:
(i) Indian Administrative Service;
(ii) Indian Foreign Service;
(iii) Indian Police Service; and
(iv) Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’

Total 180 candidates were recommended in IAS cadre, while 565 for Central Services Group 'A'. As per the Civil Services Exam 2017 Final Result, a total of 990 candidates have been recommended for appointment. Anudeep Durishetty, a candidate from Hyderabad, stood the first in the Civil Services Examination, 2017.
